Addams Family

Addams Family gets a make-over.

Things Have Been Kickin’!

Whew!  I have been pretty busy lately makin’ stuff and relaxin’ after, in addition to going to school and working full time.  Firstly, I’ve been experimenting with some new winter cap ideas.  The dummy one I’m wearing at work right now is fleece-lined with a flannel exterior and features full ear-flaps in addition to a small, soft bill.  I’m so close to figurin’ out how to make them reversible, which I think would be pretty awesome.  I’m waiting until I can buy a bias-tape maker to make invisible seams.  Watch out for these guys to hit my Etsy store in a few weeks, I hope!

I’ve also been working as  vendor with a couple small companies lately!  I make a small batch of wallets for Campos Coffee, a coffee shop in Australia.  I’m also hoping to start working with Faction Cycling, supplying them with some upcycled caps.  You can also still find my caps at Working Bikes Cooperative.  Finally, you can still find Teeny Robots Handmade Goods (wallets, caps, and comics) at Shop Columbia, in the South Loop of Chicago.

I still haven’t distributed Bird Wizards 2 to local shops because I’ve been so busy!  I did attempt 24 Hour Comics Day at Challengers Comics, however.  I didn’t make it all the way, but I accomplished a lot I hadn’t accomplished before.  A page or two of that endeavor may make it up here sometime if I get around to scanning them.

When not grinding my nose at creative and banal toils, I’ve been doing a lot of camping (photo courtesy of Infinite Expanse).  I rode bikes 65 miles to the Indiana Dunes with Infinite Expanse, Rusting Miller, and my roommate Jesse.  I’m hoping to do a mini-comic about that particular adventure.  I have some sketches and notes, which may show up here as well.  Bird Wizards Travel Diaries 1, engage!  It will be like all those Sweet Valley High spin-offs, but maybe slightly cooler.
